Ode to October: 62 Rides around the sun
Wherein I soaked a birthday-eve sunset at Bears Den with my son and picnic Thai.
Swooned to candlelight Vivaldi with my friend Silvia.
Made a mad dash to NYC...there was a quick visit with a dear one to the tree house which was closed, then for a slice of Sfincione. Hopped the subway to Brooklyn to celebrate the birthday of a dear friend of 38 years. We drank morning coffee on the ledge, watched the sunset from the ledge, went to a garden party, did some street photography, the Dear NY exhibit, the Dog Parade, met a cat named pillow at Pillow Cat Bookstore, Brunched at Vaselka followed by a successful mission the tree house at 6BC, Vegan Caribbean dinner with two other longtimers before seeing Psychedelic Furs at the Paramount.
Watched the sunrise from Bear Chase with my friend Bethany and enjoyed a belated birthday waffle before a solo adventure to one of my fave summits, Stonyman with hopes to see some reds. After the climb, I drove straight to Sky Meadows where I had my mind properly blown by astrophysicist, Dr. Doschek whose scope shoots photos of deep space objects and sends them to his ipad for viewing.
*Further evidence that I must no longer isolate by working weekends, and find a better second job to pay for more adventures.
