And They Carry Me

"I have only this breath
and this presence for my wings" - David Whyte

My ravens arrive in threes.  One is always a watcher while the others carry the food I've given them off to their nest.  Once they've eaten and have flown away, I leave the medicated food for the mangy fox.
and some doves..

What I Saw this Autumn Day

"O WORLD, I cannot hold thee close enough!
Thy winds, thy wide grey skies! Thy mists that roll and rise!
Thy woods, this autumn day, that ache and sag
And all but cry with colour! That gaunt crag
To crush! To lift the lean of that black bluff!
World, World, I cannot get thee close enough!"

- Edna St. Vincent Millay

Have a Holly Jolly!

This year he marched in the parade...

and made it back in time to sit with his friends and see a few balloons and Santa!

Fox

"Let me hold on
To the edge of your robe" - Mary Oliver

Can you find the fox?

We must wait to see if the fox takes the medicated bait.  We hope the fur grows back before it gets too cold.

Lost in Living

Feeling this mingling of motherhood and artistic expression deep in my bones.

Fairy Fly-by

"Come faeries, take me out of this dull world, for I would ride with you upon the wind and dance upon the mountains like a flame." - Yeats

The sugar fairy came and accepted the offer of Halloween Candy.  Under a pile of leaves and pixie dust, she left a Hexbug.  "She ALWAYS knows what I like", he squealed.
