I taught da Vinci in his class.  We drew our own inventions with colored pencils and then I taught them how to make paper helicopters that really fly.  It was a hit.  And...after I left they got them taken away because they couldn't keep them in their desks. 

So it goes.  It was fun while it lasted.

Billy Goat Trail

 It was a beautiful day so we decided to try hiking Billy Goat Trail.  It's not really hiking...it's more like rock scrambling / climbing.    The views were breathtaking.  We can't wait to go back and do it all over again. 

4th Grade Field Trip

Early in the morning I packed the yummy treats that I made and woke my excited boy.  We drove to the school while the moon was still in the sky.  We met his boisterous classmates in the school cafeteria to wait for the chartered bus to Jamestown and Williamsburg. 

After we boarded, a girl behind us shouted, "This bus is sooo cool...you can even poop on it!" 

It was a whirlwind trip!
